The MMX Performance BMW F-Series Magnetic Gear Shift Paddles replace the factory paddles on F-Chassis BMWs. These are complete replacement blades rather than extensions that clip over the original, and the kit is supplied with new control units.
The actuation is magnetic. Where a longer paddle bolted onto the factory unit inherits whatever flex the original has, the MMX blade is machined from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 billet aluminum and mounted to its own control unit, so each pull is rigid from end to end. MMX’s stated aim is to remove the bendy, wobbly feel that less rigid paddle upgrades leave behind.
The extended blade profile also puts the paddle within reach at larger steering angles, where the factory paddle can fall away from the fingertips mid-corner.
Three anodized finishes are offered, black, titanium and red, so the paddles can be matched to the interior trim and stitching. Everything required for the installation is included in the kit.
