The “Programming” Problem

All OEM fobs need to be programmed to the car by “teaching” the immobilizer to identify it. This process requires the vehiclePIN code and the ability to navigate a series of timed ignition key strokes. This takes practice, and the alarm can betriggered, complicating matters. Even with practice, many 993’s aren’t ableto program fobs due to aging ignition switch contacts.
